Two Virginia Tech Alumni Join the LeadPoint Digital Team

LeadPoint Digital is growing! We are thrilled to welcome digital writing specialist Emily Southern and intern Claire Henritze to the team. Both Emily and Claire are recent graduates of Virginia Tech. Though their degrees are newly minted, they have already cultivated strong professional backgrounds and experience that enrich the LeadPoint team.
As a digital writing specialist, Emily Southern brings her love of learning and research to her work. Emily recently earned a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism from Virginia Tech with minors in creative writing, professional and technical writing, and religion and journalism. While at Virginia Tech, Emily published over 50 stories for Virginia Tech News, was a contributor for VT Magazine, and served for 3 years as lead copyeditor for the Collegiate Times.
“I love LeadPoint’s emphasis on both creativity and strategy in marketing,” Emily said. “I’m excited to help clients tell their stories in a way that connects with their audiences and helps them reach their goals.”
Intern Claire Henritze graduated summa cum laude with a degree in public relations and a minor in organizational leadership from Virginia Tech. She’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in reputation management, also at Virginia Tech. Prior to her work at LeadPoint, Claire served in a communications capacity at the Undergraduate Office of Admission at Virginia Tech and a corporate communications intern for Carilion Clinic.
“My favorite thing about marketing is the ability to see your efforts produce quantitative outcomes for clients. Being part of the LeadPoint team has been a wonderful experience and I’ve learned so much from everyone’s extensive knowledge of their field,” Claire said.
